The cookin' up the barnyard bbq team started out as Big Smoke Que N Brew in September of 2007. The team is based in the east end of Toronto, Canada. It's not exactly a BBQ Mecca, but, we're hoping that will change!

The team is comprised of Chris and Ken who are the main pit masters and organizers for the team. We formed the team to compete in the Amateur Division at the Beeton BBQ Championships, the last event of the Canadian BBQ Association's 2007 Ontario BBQ Championship Series. Luck was with us that day as we placed 1st out of 8 amateur teams. It was at that point that we were bitten by the competitive BBQ bug.

In 2008 we joined the Professional Division of the Canadian BBQ Association's Ontario BBQ Championship Series. Our first pro competition was at the 2008 Canadian Open BBQ Championships in Barrie Ontario. It was a baptism by fire, as we placed 18th out of 26 professional teams.

2010 brings a new season, a new team name and some new members to our group. Merissa, John, Jonathan, Karen, Ester, Karen and Heidi will be pitching in when possible to help out with the team. Welcome aboard!
